The Founder
So you want to know about my humans huh? What about me? Well they smell nice, love to play with me, and take me places all the time that it wears me out. I'm not picky where we go because for me, it's all about the journey - where we go is not as important as being able to go with them. And how can I forget the food! They love me, so much that they prepare me gourmet doggie meals every day! What else is there to know?

As you can tell, Big Paw Services is a dog oriented business but that does not exclude us from caring for other pets. We have experience training, walking, hiking, running, and pet sitting pets dating back to 1998 and we love it! We hold to a strict code of ethics as our core values both in our personal and professional lives.
Growing up on a farm surrounded by animals, the founder of Big Paw Services, has been a compassionate animal lover since before he learned to walk. In 1998, our founder began his mandatory military service in the Israeli Defense Force and was privileged to join a classified elite unit as a certified Military K-9 Specialist and Trainer. There he studied animal husbandry, ethology, psychology (emphasis on behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and toddler psychology), socialization, as well as various different [humane] learning theories and canine military first aid. His in-depth studies triggered his passion further. After his honorable discharge in 2001, our founder continued training and branched off into the dog walking, pet sitting, and soon canine massage therapy services so he can offer more services to his loyal clients making Big Paw Services your one stop service pet "shop".
In 2002, he returned to the US and in 2006 graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a Finance degree in Business Administration. However, his passion for animals, and a desire to help others establish a better relationship with their pets was stronger than his desire to work in the corporate world. While operating Big Paw Services, in the winter our founder also enjoys Boarder-cross racing and teaching children snow boarding or skiing at Eldora Mountain Ski Resort. He is a Level 2 certified snow boarding instructor through AASI with Children 1 and 2 accreditations. In 2009, he was voted instructor of the season and has been featured in a few publications and TV for his unique, fun, and entertaining teaching and class handling skills.
