Advanced Dog Training and

Obedience
Do you know why I decided to sign up for advanced training? It wasn't because of my dad, or the fact most dogs nowadays go to "college".  It was because I wanted to be a better dog!  It not only pleased my mom terribly and made her so proud of me, it gave me a fuller canine life!  I get a lot more freedom to being me.  I get to think for myself and usually, since my advanced training, I do not make mistakes but more importantly, I get to do want I want to do; please the heck out of my mom and dad!
Heel - off leash with the neck by the handlers knee but not touching
Sit - and stay at "sit" for 2 minutes with distractions such as other dogs or toy flying by!
Down - same as "sit" but in the "down" position
Stay - in the specified location at least 5 minutes
Come - from a distance despite all the wonderful distractions at hand
Go Find -a toy or other object of dog
Leave It - reinforcing this command so results occur after asking once!
Drop It - Droping whatever the dog has in it's mouth without chasing or fighting him/her
Distractions - Working heavily with distractions
Place - go and "stay" in a certain location such as bed
And much more based on what is needed excluding agility and other complex disciplines
Why advanced training?  Do you want to be able to walk with your dog off leash and still have voice control?  Do you want your dog to truly qualify for the Boulder Voice and Sight Tag program?  Do you want your furry friend with a canine "high school" education (basic training) or a "college" education?  Do you want a dog that not only sets an example and makes you proud but can also become a Canine Good Citizen certified by the American Kennel Club (AKC)?  Do you want your dog to compete in AKC obedience competitions?  Or do you really want to go out there and be able to control your dog via a short wave radio like certain military dogs?

If you answered yes to any of the above, or prefer a super trained dog and live in the Nederland, Boulder, or Denver CO area, please  contact us for more detail of your requirements, needs and desires and we'll be able to help!

Advanced training is unique per individual dog, depending on your specific requirements. However, the fundamentals of advanced training will be included for each variation of the desired level of accomplishment.
Advanced dog training
The goal of advanced training is to get your furry friend to demonstrate commands (doggie employment) at least 90% of the time when asked the first time while off leash!

*we highly recommend this to serious dog lovers!  We will be demanding a lot from your furry friend.  Any dog can pass advanced training but they can only do this with a firm but gentle leader that sticks to the program we specifically design for you!   It is vital and required that the dog’s parent(s) persist with the program, do all the necessary daily “homework” exercises and practice.  Your furry friend cannot learn without you.
