We coined the term "Doggie Employment" as well as provide our costumers [HD] DVD of their training so they'll never forget the lessons!
At Big Paw Services we go beyond teaching you the average basic commands; we establish your position, and all other family members’ in your household, as the Alpha creating structure, and routine without being physical! We improve your leadership and role creating a relationship with your dog based on understanding canine behavior and psychology. How do we achieve this? We do so by teaching you and your furry friend the basics to human canine communications; what we mean with a command and what we expect of them when we are not around. This can only be done with patience, repetition, trust, understanding, and lots of love!
Unlike puppy training, basic training demands more of your puppy and is ideally recommended to begin between the ages of 6-8 months. However, any dog of any breed can be trained at any age! You CAN teach an old dog new tricks! All dogs, in a pack-like environment (aka your family), have a desire to please the Alpha, the leader. They seek structure, rules, and a role from the leader so they can become a valuable member of the pack. To simplify this: dogs need employment, a job to do within the pack or they will not remain in the pack. They need to understand what is expected of them so they can return the favor with desired behavior. When they are "jobless" they are structureless, jobless. They will seek out different doggie jobs such as barking, digging, chewing, ripping, and eventually will become aggressive, consequently not only will they destroy your home and cause you stress, but will become dangerous to society. Is it their fault for trying to find something to do, a job, rather than go crazy bored? What we call destructive, they see as normal doggie jobs they are taking up to please you, because their “Alpha”, their leader never set the structure, rules, and roles of your furry friend from a human standpoint. This is when training, or what we call "doggie employment", is vital.

Human/Canine Communication
This is where I started after my puppy training of course. Although I thought I was much smarter for "beginning" training, it was very intense and could be considered advanced for what I learned compared to other methods my friends were learning. I got lucky to have my daddy but you should know, this training will give you a very well trained pet! The advanced training is never ending, I tell you! Although I finished it, my parents constantly work with me! It's actually important because I love to please them and do a super duper great job! It keeps me busy and happy; I'm one satisfied dog.
