Behavior problems can cause a lot of stress both to you and your furry friend, especially when dealing with aggressive behaviors. With time, love, compassion and trust we can help you eliminate most behaviors. However, success is measured by your personal dedication, patience and unconditional understanding that it is not your dog's fault! We will get to the source of the problem so we can approach the behavior properly, giving you specific lessons tailored to you and your furry friend. He or she needs to learn, they want to learn from you so they can become better members of your family, but they can only do this with your 24/7 dedication to the project and process. Your pet needs your dedicated help!
These are the fundamental methods we will be using but are not limited to them. Each dog is specific even if the behavior is similar to a different dog. We work with you and your dog to develop a specific program to solve the behavior problem. Many problems can be fixed by realizing how we, the humans, unintentionally "trained" or "reinforced" the unwanted behavior. We will teach you to think like your furry friend so you can understand where the problem came from and what we can do to turn the unwanted behavior into a desirable one.
Many behavior problems can also be resolved through partaking in basic through advanced training/obedience classes as well as agility courses and other disciplines. Many behavior problems are caused due to a lack of leadership or training. Our programs will not only establish your leadership, giving your furry friend structure and stability he/she needs as a pack animal, but they will also mellow the pooch because he she will have a sense of a "job" to do rather than find his/her own methods to pass time. Many behavior problems are cause by the dog's lack of "something to do". Establishing leadership and incorporating training give the dog a new, different outlet, a new something to do.
I'm perfect, this shot is just for the camera; I was informed the pictures were to show how pretty and white my teeth are for the vet's office not to model aggression otherwise I would not have agreed. Actually I probably would - it's how I role. I love pictures!
The preeminent method to avoid behavior problems is preemptively! We achieve this through proper training and "doggie employment". Behavior problems occur because we failed our furry friends unintentionally because we do not understand how the dog psyche works. We humanized their behavior, then wonder how we contributed to their problem. Most behavior problems occur because of the human, not the dog. We will explain more during our therapy.
"Did you know that most bite cases are contributed by the smaller toy breeds?"
Due to their smaller statues, many of the smaller breeds are never properly trained which is the main reason they become aggressive. Don't be fooled by their size or charm! Every dog needs training (doggie employment), structure, and boundaries or cute little Roxy here could bite your guests, or even you!
