We coined the term "Doggie Employment" as well as provide our costumers [HD] DVD of their training so they'll never forget the lessons!
We will never use any training methods we feel are hurtful or damaging, physically or emotionally. You can get a lot more with honey than vinegar… but it requires time, patience, understanding, and lots of love. The results are well worth it and last a lifetime!
Keeping that in mind, it is entirely up to you to continually reinforce the lessons or they will become ineffective with time, rather than progressing beyond your expectations! Your dog has an innate desire to consistently learn how to please you, it's their innate doggie desire! If your dog is not properly trained, it could lead to many problems because he or she is finding other things to keep itself occupied. Think of it as a dog's 9-5 job or as we call the training results, "doggie employment". Without set boundaries, guidelines, and direction, that your dog can understand, we wrongly misinterpret their mischief. We forget to understand why dogs resort to eating our slippers for example. One reason why they resort to destruction (for them it is just good old dog fun (a job) and a way to be close to you, as your slipper tends to smell like you) is because they do not know what to do while you are away. Their inappropriate behavior informs us that they lack boundaries, guidelines, and direction which translate to a lack of structure and routine. In essence, they are trying to do what they think would please us or get them attention or affection (positive or negative) once we get back home. It is our job, as their leaders, to give them the structure and rules they seek from us, just as they would receive it from their Pack Leader in the wild. Their life goal is to better please us, the leaders, to become better family members by knowing the rules and their roles within their human family, thus receive positive attention and affection for work well done!
We teach you the essential training tools to create a positive environment in your home. Including how to establish trust, respect, and understanding, specific to your dog’s needs, ability, and personality, thereby creating the structure your dog seeks from you. It is your responsibility to reinforce what you learned in your lessons on a continual, daily basis. Only then will you truly profit from your investment and have a significant life-long relationship with your dog.
Look how well I'm trained to sit, and on a little, tight boulder! If you live in the Boulder Denver area, I am sure my humans would love to teach your furry friend to be as well behaved and trained as I am!
Why is training so important? Well it's like sending your child to school to get an education. Why do they need to learn anything? Won't they just grow up and be the way you want them to be? We all know the answer to that; us dogs too.
Our furry friends don't always get the opportunity of discipline. If they are aggressive, they do not understand when they are punished, hence we do not punish them, especially after the fact.. This is problematic. How do you teach your dog not to become aggressive when after a few recorded attacks they cannot be corrected according to local authority. In extreme case, that are far too often, they may be put down, justified by authority as a threat to society.
This can easily be resolved before it happens by preemptive action hence training is so important the first day you introduce you new furry friend to your home! Through training, we establish leadership, structure, rules and a role, to name a few, to eliminate the future possibility of an aggressive dog. Our training will educate your furry friend as well as "employ" him or her so they will never turn to boredom which may lead to destructive behavior, excessive barking, or even aggressions.

Benefits of Private Lessons
With our unique and humane training methods, tailored to each dog's ability and personality, we go beyond the basic commands. We help you establish your house rules and teach you to listen and interpret dog-human interaction, while calmness, manners, and obedience are a positive outcome of the training ("employment"), giving you a fuller service and a happier home!
Our training methods are as specific as they areindividual to you and your dog. We’ve trained many dog owners (handlers) in the better part of the last decade. Our experience has taught us that each dog is his or her own "person" -there is no golden rule training method! Our knowledge and experience allows us to incorporate different techniques based on the personality and relationship between you and your dog so the both of you reap the benefits from using our training service. We rely heavily on canine psychology, while incorporating different schools of thought into the training. We use their natural instincts and behaviors to learn. We also reinforce your dog to think and reach a desirable conclusion on his or her own. We find that "thinking" dogs are not only happy content dogs, they have more freedom being themselves, get into less "trouble", and surpass owners’ expectations by thinking up new ways and better behaviors to please you because we gave them what they desire and need, dogie "employment!"
