If you feel you will be a great fit at Big Paw Services, and you have a rich background experience with many domesticated pets, personally or professionally, you may email us a little about yourself and your experience with various pets. Your email [or letter] application will be kept on record for a 6 month consideration period. You do not need to attach a professional resume so don't waste your time creating one unless you already have one ready and feel it will be of value. We are a laid back company! Resumes lose a part of your personality. We want to know about YOU and your personal experiences through your own words and rhetoric, not via a generic resume.
We have fun providing our services and consider everyone in the Big Paw Services family an important integral of the whole. We hire based on your related experiences and how well we connect during the interview process.
Please be advised, Henry, the site tour guide, helps us "feel" how you will fit in with the Big Paw family! You can [and encouraged to] bring your pet to the interview!
We are picky about who we hire because you will not only be a reflection of us but you will also become part of our fun business family! Our clients, human and pet a like are very important to us and should be to you as well even if it is only a part-time job for you.
Should Big Paw Services decide to bring you on to our team, you will be considered an independent contractor. This means you will be receiving a 1099 at the end of each year which you are responsible to file with the IRS yourself. You will also need to be bonded and insured. Currently, our structure does not allow for employee benefits since you will be considered an independent contractor, not a paid employee but in the next few years our business structure could change.
Please keep in mind this is not a full time job. It's a great second income for animal lovers especially during the holiday seasons. When you do what you love, getting paid is an added benefit!
