OH MY GOSH!!! I can't rave enough how great canine massages are! This is me after a rub down, nice and relaxed feeling like a million bones pun intended! I get massages to help me after long hikes or to calm me down. I have a lot of energy. Sometimes, when I am stressed I get a rub- down as well. Luckily I am still young and healthy, but as I age I am sure I will be getting therapeutic massages to help with the potential risks of arthritis, hip dysplasia, surgery recover, or to help circulate my blood and keep me healthy longer.
What is Canine Massage Therapy?

What is the Difference Between Massage and Petting?
Unlike petting, massage is focused, intentional touch that intends to facilitate and support the body’s natural homeostasis. Such intention requires the consideration of the “whole” canine - not just the specific area that requires work. The canine massage therapist is trained to “see” with the hands and to connect mindfully and respectfully with the client.
It is important to remember that massage therapy is not a substitute for veterinary care; rather, it is part of a comprehensive approach to canine wellness.
