Bonded and Insured

What most people do not realize, is that once they are away from their home for more than 48 hours, many home insurance companies many not cover your claims.  What a Bonded and insured pet sitter bring to the table, is not only care for your pets, but also acts as your replacement, proof that someone was replacing you, while you are away on your trip thus your home insurance will cover the damages.  This is what many people do not know.  Any pet sitter that is bonded and/or insured, his or her pet sitting insurance acts as a secondary insurance policy for certain things like property damage.  It is important you have your own home insurance because that would most likely be your best protection.

Being bonded, covers claims such as lost or stole house keys (our insurance will cover all lock changes), or stolen personal property such as jewelry however, the burden of proof lies with the hone owner.  Just as you need to trust us with your pets, home, and personal items, we, and our insurance company need to trust you wouldn't claim frivolous claims.  All this sounds as if our insurance is just a load of doggie business, but honesty is our policy.  For more information, please visit the International Pet Sitters Association or call them a
t (336) 983-9222 as well as contact our insurance company (Business Insurers of the Carolinas) directly at (800) 962-6411 for more information.  Don't forget to ask them about Big Paw Services policy and what it covers specifically to give you the peace of mind you require by hiring a pro.

References

We have experience providing in-home pet care and dog training services since 1998 and have been operating as Big Paw Services since 2008.  We are rapidly growing and expanding.

In order to make our references more honest as part of our Honesty Policy, our core value and belief, personally and professionally, all of our clients automatically become references.  What that means is unless you opt-out because you do not want to be bothered, as soon as we provide you the first service, you will be added into our reference list.  Only your first name, email, and service(s) we provide you will be posted for members only.  This way, when a potential new client as yourself wants to hears from our previous or current clients about us, they can simple contact any client they want from our extensive list.  You may end up contacting a new client or a long-term client or contact all of them but what you will get out of this experience is an honest, unpressured opinion of Big Paw Services.  We know how good we are, but we believe in actions speaking louder than words.  We will never know what our references said because we did not "prep" them to expect your call or email which puts pressure on a person to not really say what they honestly feel, good or bad.

For more information, please visit the forms page or contact us.  After you create you member's account, it will be pending until our approval because we need to make sure you are an actual new or potential client (that is, we have either met at the meet or greet or set a date for training) and not a competitor or solicitor before we trust you with all of our clients contact information.

100% Satisfaction Guarantee or your money back!

Again, we know how good we are and are not afraid to own up to our words as an extra action for you to know you can trust us.
We strive to be the best and believe we are the best because that's what our clients tell us.

If you feel we have not met our agreed requirements or promises, we will reimburse you.

Pet First Aid and CPR

All of our pet sitters have professional backgrounds in Pet First Aid including CPR, be it from military studies in a k9 unit or through other national certification courses such as Pet Tech or the American Red Cross.

It is important for us, as it is important to you, should an emergency occur, your pet sitter has the knowledge to realize something is amiss and needs medical attention.  Pets cannot tell us they are feeling ill and usually will do everything possible to hid it from us because in their minds, being sick means being left behind...  It is up to us to be able to see, read, and interpret the signs and seek immediate attention whenever possible.  That is probably the foremost reason you are seeking a professional pet care provider in the first place.
